LOCKERS!

We have been allocated 6 lockers by SAA for this acad year. I have randomly allocated the lockers to some of the seniors.
57- Adriel, Joseph, Mad
58- Hareez, Kwang, Xin Kai
59- Serene, Li Ting
60- Adrian, Mark
61- Edwin, Naz

Please buy your own small padlock and organize your locker. It is located on the same level as the office in the sports com, except it is further from the office[towards the direction of the reservoir].

Yes, it is that big chunk of grey metal can near the toilets. For anyone whom i have missed out, please approach the people mentioned above and negotiate with them. As for the juniors, responsibility will be solely on the owners of the locker whether to adopt you. Thanks

Gerald

Get to know your seniors better part 2

Next featured athlete for the day Silas Neo

Name: Silas Neo

Events: 100m, 200m

How you started with your sport: Sports day

How you would describe yourself: Outgoing

Interest/hobbies: Most sports that require running

Any thing you want to say to inspire people to take up your sport:

Take it only if you have the passion

Silas is currently studying in the tourism academy of Sentosa. Although it is quite far, he never fails to turn up to training. This shows his commitment to the track team and his love for the sport. As quoted above, he states “take it only if you have the passion” this goes out to all the people who are currently not sure if they want to continue with track. As you know it is a very time consuming sport and quite a number of sacrifices must be made. A question that leaves us pondering why he never misses trainings is maybe this is because he lives opposite Temasek poly? But no I don’t think so. It is because of his love for track.

Known to his friends as Silas aka big/sexy calves. He never fails to be the centre of attention during trainings. He is a decent guy to joke and kid around with however during the workouts he is dead serious about his trainings. This kind of mentality is required in such a big team, helping out coach to control the athletes in need of help.

As this is your first year in charge, we hope to see you step up and fulfil the true role of a captain in the team. This will help to lead us into victory this year and also to build up the name of TP track and field in the years to come.

Name: Gerald Lee

Events: 100m

How you started with your sport: Cca in primary school

How you would describe yourself: Outgoing

Interest/hobbies: Sports

Any thing you want to say to inspire teammates in your sport:

Achieve your best

Gerald is currently the captain of TP track and field, he is often known as an outgoing guy who takes the initiative to ensure that things are in correct order. Without him things would not be the same. Even though the duties of being a captain call for times to be strict, he also knows how to have fun. Apart from track and field he also knows how to balance his cca and his studies very well. Who can be used as an ideal role model for those who are having trouble balancing these in school.

During the first year he was not selected for the 100m as the competition was really tough. However through the years, he proved himself as a hard worker in track and managed to climb his was ensuring that he was one of the best in TP for sprints.

As this is the last year for him we would just like to wish him all the best for the current and most important final race of the year which is the IVP meet for his individual events and for his relays.
